Stunning renovated antique 17th French Louis XV Rococo fauteuil (open sided armchair).
 
The Louis XV style is synonymous with the Rococo movement but there’s an unmistakable sturdiness and solidity to Louis XV chairs, with a generous helping of serpentine curves: namely along the seat rails, the back, arms, and the legs.
 
This beautiful chair is available as a pair (priced individually) and have been renovated to remove the shiny varnish and instead focus on the beautiful Rococo carvings.  The chair has been reupholstered in a grain sack style heavy weight striped French linen.
 
All of our furniture is lovingly restored and fit for purpose before it leaves our workshop. Please note that some pieces may have suffered a few bumps and bruises before they came to us. After all, it’s what gives antique and vintage furniture its personality and charm (and it’s often the reason why we choose the pieces in the first place!). We repair what needs repairing, but as for any little imperfections we embrace these and will often highlight them as a feature. We will always do our best to show any sizeable bumps (if any) in our photographs, but we hope you’ll welcome the unique character of each piece as much as we do.
