This fine oak George III 18th century piece is English, c1775/1790 , and was originally a dressing table with drawers and mirror, but converted to the more sort after chest of drawers.
The thumb-moulded edged overhanging top sits on an arrangement of three graduated cockbeaded drawers with later brass drop handles having solid back plates. The backing boards and all four feet are original.
Painted in stunning navy blue with the bat wing handles polished to resemble medals - this piece is inspired by our local navel Royal William Yard.

All of our furniture is lovingly restored and fit for purpose before it leaves our workshop. Please note that some pieces may have suffered a few bumps and bruises before they came to us. After all, it’s what gives antique and vintage furniture its personality and charm (and it’s often the reason why we choose the pieces in the first place!). We repair what needs repairing, but as for any little imperfections we embrace these and will often highlight them as a feature. We will always do our best to show any sizeable bumps (if any) in our photographs, but we hope you’ll welcome the unique character of each piece as much as we do.
